It was only a matter of time before Under Armour would release its own smart shoes, especially given its recent company purchases. Under Armour’s updated line of Record Equipped Shoes focuses on the Speedform Gemini 2, which was released in early 2016 and quickly became a favorite for many athletes. The collection is based on the new Speedform Gemini 3, Speedform Europa and Speedform Velociti, all of which incorporate their own batteries as well as several sensors that provide crucial information regarding cadence, distance and time.
The best part is that these shoes don’t need to be paired up with a smartphone in order to do their thing, as they track the wearer’s run independently. Apart from these classic readouts, they can also suggest workouts based on how tired your muscles are through a so-called “Jump Test.”
